Stowe becomes member of LawWorks

Stowe Family Law are now a member of LawWorks, a charity which works to connect volunteer lawyers with people who need, but are unable to afford legal advice. With more than 200 family lawyers spread across England and Wales, Stowe is ideally placed to support the work that LawWorks does.

Many of our lawyers already do a huge amount in their local legal communities, including student mentoring, volunteering at law clinics, and more. At Stowe, everyone has access to a volunteering day each year to support a charity of their choice, in a way that they choose. However, our collaboration with LawWorks is the start of a more co-ordinated approach towards our pro-bono offering and other charitable efforts.

Stowe Giving Back, our charitable and community group, are committed to increasing what we do as a firm both at local and national level, supporting causes that are important to our colleagues.

We are really proud to become members of LawWorks. It is impossible to work in family law and not be aware of the huge inequality that exists in terms of access to legal advice and we hope our membership and support will help their continued work to redress that.

I work within the Talent Acquisition team here at Stowe with a particular focus across the North. I post a variety of blogs from family law to environmental, wellbeing to progressing careers. Subscribe below to be the first to receive our latest family law newsletters.
