Taking Action on Diversity and Inclusion
Here at Stowe Family Law, we’re proud to launch our commitment statement and values as we strive to ensure Stowe is an inclusive place to work for our colleagues and a firm that welcomes and supports every client.
Earlier this year, Inclusive Employers completed a recruitment audit for us, helping us look at how we promote Stowe as a place to work and ways we can increase the diversity of our applicants and teams.
One action from this was to look at how we share our commitment to inclusion and belonging, internally and externally. We’ve now written our statement of commitment and updated the language in our values to reflect the firm we are and want to be.
Below are some of the actions we’ve taken over the past few years:
Launched our Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging group: This group has been instrumental in getting us to where we are now on our journey. With our continued growth and the additional support through membership of Inclusive Employers, we wanted to make sure this group, along with our other colleague groups, have a clear role and voice in how we move forward.
Benefit enhancements: We’ve included the introduction of flexible bank holidays and wellness days, support for working carers through Carers UK and dedicated menopause support.
Membership of Inclusive Employers: This provides our colleagues access to educational information, webinars, and expertise.
Inclusive language training for all at our annual conference, StoweFest. This was a fantastic way to raise awareness, educate and aid understanding of how we can all be more inclusive daily.
Here at Stowe Family Law, we’re committed to investing in how we welcome and support more diverse colleagues and clients as we continue to grow.
